The GROOVEMENT ASSEMBLY is a mobilization effort to bring together artists and community organizers for the PEOPLE'S MOVEMENT. We recruit volunteers to help with implementing new strategies to rebuild the Gulf Coast, lower Mississippi Delta, Southern Black Belt, and Central Appalachia communities. These strategies include delivering the People’s Bailout Plan to state and county official. We are also working Southern grassroots organization in developing a federal southern agenda for the Obama administration that will provide reforms such as uniform voting rights, eliminating right to work laws, fair and justice immigration policies, a universal human rights, alternative forms of energy and economic renewal that lift rural and urban communities out of poverty.
